An independent bilingual (French & English) day nursery located within proximity to Tufnell Park station is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to join its expanding team of 20 staff. The nursery has a capacity for approximately 60 children aged from babies to five years old and pride itself as one of the leading French speaking Early Years providers in the UK.
Along with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, you will also receive 7 weeks paid annual leave (including bank holidays) with an additional day for each year of employment, private healthcare, a day off for your birthday, progression opportunities and in-house training with leading names in the industry.
As a Nursery Manager, your duties will include but not limited to:
- Take responsibility for drawing up long-term, medium-term, and sessional curriculum plans which consider the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and to monitor the effectiveness of the setting’s curriculum.
- Effectively lead, develop, and manage a large team to ensure children are cared for in a happy, safe, and stimulating environment.
- Motivate and lead your team to achieve outstanding practice.
- Plan, review, and implement industry and legislative developments to ensure compliance and a forward-thinking approach is adopted.
- Work in partnership with the parents and carers.
- Act as the setting's designated Child Protection Officer.
- Manage a fully operational budget.
- Ensure that the setting is compliant with Health and Safety and OFSTED requirements.
- Embrace, adopt and implement company initiatives and ideas to support the organisation’s aims and values.
The ideal Nursery Manager will hold the following qualifications and experiences:
- An Early Years Degree (preferred).
- Previous experience in managing a similar sized nursery setting.
- Previous experience of leading exceptional childcare standards and compliance with Health and Safety and OFSTED requirements.
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets and KPI's.
- Applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS (formally CRB)
