About the Role

Our client is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Room Leaders to join our friendly and supportive team. Applicants must hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education (or an equivalent qualification). Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development will be provided.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can learn, develop, and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver a range of educational and developmental activities for children aged 0–5 years, ensuring that individual needs are met.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and carers, working in partnership to support each child's learning and development.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow policies and procedures required for the safe and effective delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Ensure children are safeguarded at all times and that their welfare and developmental needs are fully supported.
  • Undertake Key Person responsibilities, including planning, assessment, observations, and record-keeping.
  • Provide engaging and stimulating activities that support children's individual next steps in learning.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all information relating to children and their families.
  • Promote understanding of the aims and values of the centre among children, families, and the wider community.
  • Support the development of the centre as a valued community resource.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, training days, and relevant external training opportunities.
  • Use evaluative tools and reflective practice to improve the quality of provision and measure impact.
  • Lead, direct, and support staff within the room.
  • Share expertise, provide guidance, and promote best practice across the setting.
